The purpose of the role

As the Principal Azure Specialist, you'll lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive Azure migration and modernization expertise. Your role involves identifying projects, creating compelling business cases, and driving them to successful production. You'll cultivate strong customer relationships, influencing long-term strategic direction and serving as a trusted advisor to CXOs and key decision-makers. Additionally, you'll assist customers in evaluating their cloud strategy, determining optimal approaches for application and data migration, and recommending solutions tailored to their needs. Leading customer cloud decisions on the Microsoft Azure platform, you'll champion the entire Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure, Modern Work, Dynamics, Security, and Support, ensuring our customers receive the best service possible. Your role also entails removing deployment obstacles and driving overall customer satisfaction.

The Principal Azure Specialist is a senior member of our Public Sector team, located in Wellington, New Zealand. We have a preference for Wellington based applicants, however welcome applications from other New Zealand locations.

As athe Principal Azure Specialist, you're a senior business leader with deep technical expertise embedded within our enterprise team. You'll lead a virtual team of sales, technical, and services professionals, guiding our customers towards digital transformation through Microsoft's cloud computing capabilities.

As a leader in your profession. You will be comfortable with the measures of success:

  • Driving customer satisfaction through enabling the customer Digital Transformation

  • Achieve customer satisfaction, consumption and revenue growth goals through aligning our value proposition to the customer own needs and goals

  • Bring the entire value that Azure has to offer to your customer to propose and deliver relevant solutions with tangible business outcomes

  • Solving customer business problems

  • Strong commercial acumen with an ownership mentailty on fiscal accountabiltiy and forecasting

Qualifications

Minimum Experience

  • 8+ years experience in driving digital transformation within an industry (e.g. Retail, Transport, Travel) or equivalent experience in consulting or technology sectors.

  • Experience engaging and managing relationships with CXO level stakeholders, cultivating strategic partnerships.

  • Demonstrated experience growing market share, meeting sales targets, and collaborations with partners for optimal business results.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working within the Public Sector industry

  • Beneficial although not essential to have a experience working with enterprisecustomers.
