Army Installation Management Command Outreach Services Director NF-04 in Fort Detrick, Maryland

Summary This poistion is now extended until May 21, 2024. This position is located at Fort Detrick, MD. This position is eligible for the NAF benefits package and leave accrual. Responsibilities Serves as director for installation/community, Outreach Services Program, provides assistance to active duty military personnel, DOD civilians, and their family members. Implements and monitors DA policies related to Outreach Services, e.g., fees, patron eligibility, baseline programming, space allocations/goals, etc. May be required to recruit and hire qualified personnel utilizing Army CYS Standard Position Descriptions. Develops program budget and provides to CYS Coordinator for CYS budget. As Subject Matter Expert on installation child and youth Outreach Services issues prepares reports, surveys, and briefings for command and installation on matters pertaining to CYS. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Successful completion of an undergraduate Degree that included or was supplemented by major study (at least 24 semester hours) in fieldwork, which directly relates to CYS such as: early childhood/elementary/secondary/special education, child/youth development, psychology, youth program administration, or a closely related field. OR A combination of education and experience - courses equivalent to a major in a subject matter field (24 semester hours) appropriate to the position (see above), plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above. In addition to the qualifications listed above, candidate must possess: 1. At least 24 months working in child and/or youth programs. 2. Experience in child and youth program administration. 3. The ability to plan and organize work, analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data and recognize solutions. 4. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in English. 5. The physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, walk, bend, stoop and stand on a routine basis. Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors. Education Proof of education is required at the time of application, if applicable.
