Your Contribution to Our Mission:
- As a sensor engineer SME your role will be to conduct technology horizon scanning to maintain awareness of sensor development advancements, monitor and research novel applications for military sensors. You will work with a team of technical experts and support engineering development programs from a research and trade study perspective. You will author reports on findings and respond to technical inquiries from internal engineering groups as well as external customers.
To Land This Job, You Need:
Experience in conducting research and trade studies on components and systems technologies related to sensors, particularly in military applications. Demonstrated understanding on sensor system engineering including hardware, software and mechanical. Sensors of study include EO/IR imagers, multispectral, hyperspectral, LiDAR, RADAR, SAR and PI. Applications of sensors include ground, handheld, vehicle mounted, air and space.
Experience in technical writing, journal articles and other written publications is required.
Understanding of sensor design, components and engineering
Experience with EO/IR imagers, multispectral, hyperspectral, LiDAR, RADAR, SAR and PI
Ability to perform independent research and author written reports
5+ years engineering or related technical experience
B.S in Science or Engineering Field
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Familiarity with sensor and target phenomenology
M.S or PhD in Science or Engineering Field
Successful publication history
TS/SCI or TS with SCI eligibility Clearance
