UTAH SUPPORT ADVOCATES FOR RECOVERY AWARENESS Program Manager - Utah County in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

GENERAL OVERVIEW OF ROLE

The Program Manager works under the supervision of the Community Impact Manager and provides team leadership and oversight to expand recovery support services in Utah County. The program manager has their own lived experience in recovery from addiction. The program manager will coordinate with staff, partners, and community members to develop Recovery Support Services in the area. They will collaborate with community stakeholders and develop a peer advisory council that advises on specific operations within the RCC. The program manager will build a trauma informed atmosphere to serve participants in recovery management planning, recovery positive language, and sober social/recreational activities. They will provide supervision for grant specific programs, quality improvement and the successful implementation of CPSS and evidence-based peer support practices.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee project management to build & sustain recovery support services in Utah County
  • Build a networking strategy with stakeholders whose participants and/or community members can benefit from recovery support services
  • Establish relationships with already existing recovery community including court services, treatment centers, and recovery residences
  • Develop and implement a mutual aid recovery group schedule and recovery community center schedule
  • Implement and oversee program policy and procedure with emphasis on fidelity

Special Events

  • Oversees the organization's regular annual events including, but not limited to, Recovery Day, Rally for Recovery, and the organization's involvement in the Utah Pride Parade/Festival
  • Working within the event budget, drawing up supplier contracts, and payment of supplier invoices
  • Supporting a volunteer committee with their efforts and ensuring they are kept up to date on all details of the event
  • Liaising with corporate sponsors, auction sponsors, and general donors to secure sponsorship and prizes via committee contacts

Community Outreach

  • Design and implementation of community outreach and advocacy events
  • Act as liaison with community partners and civic engagement
  • Engagement in relevant and impactful community councils and committees
  • Develop and implement annual outreach and empowerment plan in collaboration with the Community Impact Manager
  • Assist leadership team with Recovery Data Platform implementation and updates, Grant Specific Reporting, etc.
  • As program and staff grows in Utah County, additional responsibilities include:
  • Facilitates individual and group supervision with peer recovery coaches to ensure ethical guidelines are followed and self-care is being maintained
  • Ensure all employees are trained in peer recovery coach core competencies
  • Provide training as needed in motivational interviewing, self-determination, creating cultures of recovery, boundary management, and ethical decision making
  • Supervise and work with Peer Recovery Coaches to coordinate peer support caseload and data tracking
  • Supervise team with weekly group and individual meetings
  • Review calendars, timesheets, and time-management
  • Evaluates organizational culture and addresses arising concerns with the leadership team
  • Help manage weekly staff meeting

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or 5 years related experience
  • Certified Pe r Support Specialist credential preferred
