HP Inc. Senior Technical Program Manager in Spring, Texas

We are seeking a high performing, experienced, and energetic Technical Program Manager to direct ISV onboarding process for HP's latest AI software solution, guide third party risk assessment, Privacy and Cyber Security reviews, and interact with vendor to address deficiencies. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders across multiple organizations within HP and our partners. You will need to operate in complex disciplines, navigate ambiguous situations, and exercise independent judgment in developing project goals and direction.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages and leads a program involving multiple functions and project teams to drive the engineering development and implementation process for a product or service offering.

  • Oversees logistics of parts for builds and prototypes and works on multiple projects, simultaneously.

  • Develops and directs development of schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation plan, and other support requirements for assigned program.

  • Manages activities of supporting project teams and internal development partners; ensures progress against established plan and makes determinations based on analysis of business information to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet product requirements and development schedule.

  • Manages program to ensure procedural compliance, maintenance, and safety practices are followed for new and existing equipment.

  • Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborates with management and internal manufacturing and development partners to recommend and implement changes to product, processes, or business practices to resolve escalated issues, produce solutions, and ensure adherence to budgets and established product roadmaps and schedules.

  • Follows up on open points/actions that were observed during trials; ensures conveyed as actionable items.

  • Drives innovation and integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into projects and activities in the manufacturing and/or engineering organization.

  • Drives best practices through documentation control policies and procedures.

  • Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.

  • PMP/PMI certification preferred

  • Typically 7-10 years experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience designing and developing project and program planning tools and software packages to create, manage, and track project results.

  • Excellent analytical and problem -solving skills.

  • Demonstrated business acumen, understanding of organizational strategy, and successful experience managing all aspects of cross- business unit programs, including communicating with internal and external stakeholders and directing matrixed teams and resources.

  • History of innovation with examples of developing new technical, engineering and/or manufacturing processes.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.

  • Ability to effectively communicate program management plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at senior management levels.

  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, with a dogged perseverance to drive tradeoffs and push a deliverable to production.

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, especially when facing hurdles, to drive success for the business.

  • Ability to influence across teams, especially with those who are not direct reports.

  • Be friendly and respectful to all colleagues and partners.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $143850 - $221550 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
