Amazon Senior Program Manager, APAC Fresh Grocery Partnership (3P) in Tokyo, Japan

APAC Fresh Grocery Partnership is seeking a proactive, result-oriented Senior Program Manager (Sr. PM) to define and drive growth initiatives for Amazon Grocery with emphasis on growing our Japan and Singapore business with Amazon third-party grocers.

This role will offer a rare opportunity to work on one of Amazon’s most ambitious, fastest growing, and complex new businesses. In this role, you will 1) lead and improve the demand forecast generation process, and support Sales & Operation Planning, 2) drive initiatives to improve the quality of our offer and establish mechanisms that ensures progress, 3) interact with tech teams to provide Japan and Singapore requirements and deliver technologies that enhances the partner experience. You will working closely with internal stakeholders including WW business team, product managers, operation managers, finance, legal, marketing managers as well as tech team.

To succeed in this role you should be passionate about delivering the best customer and partner experience and have the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders. You raise the bar for our customers and partners, and develop strategies and execute to scale our business. You are a self-starter who is eager to innovate and solve difficult problems, and drive projects end-to-end, including presenting progress to senior leadership on a regular basis. You excel at cross-functional collaboration, and identify and influence key stakeholders across the organization and partners. The location of this position can be either Tokyo or Singapore.

Key job responsibilities

• Setting up/refining the demand forecasting and operation planning, working closely with account manager, supply chain and finance business stakeholders

• Drive initiatives end to end to improve the quality of our offer and establish metrics and mechanisms that ensures progress, in collaboration with WW business team, offshoring teams, and operation managers

• Leading the definition and management of high quality product roadmaps toward the team's strategy and vision

• Propose and deliver scalable solutions to drive efficiency, while setting high bar on customer and partner experience

The internal stakeholders include Program managers and Product managers in US/EU, Japan and Singapre business development and account managers, Global operations managers, Tech team, PR, Legal, Customer service and so on. The successful candidate is expected to be the an entrepreneurial, analytical, and highly motivated, with a track record of team collaboration and influencing, and drawing metric-based conclusions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • 3+ years of data analysis experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Business level of Japanese and English

  • Superior analytical and quantitative skills to turn raw data into insights, with knowledge of SQL.

  • High attention to detail and willingness to roll up your sleeves

  • Excellent logical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/influence teams - prioritization, planning and task delegation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
