What You Will Do :
As a Communications Consultant, you will be a critical member of project workstreams to support meeting development and implementation and the generation of project deliverables. This includes delivering client-facing communications and supporting day-to-day operational meetings with client sponsors and consulting leaders. A successful Consultant is one that is self-motivated, outcomes oriented, and capable and willing to develop solutions on their own and collaboratively as part of a team of highly skilled professionals. Our consultants have the opportunity to enhance their skills across their technical competencies, business development, and client service.
Our management consulting professionals help our clients identify, evaluate, and solve some of their most complex challenges, assisting them in achieving their strategic goals and objectives to fulfill their mission and comply with Federal laws and regulations. Individuals will be engaged in a diverse set of project-specific tasks covering a broad set of communications capabilities.
Duties will include:
Capture meeting discussions, decisions, action items, and follow-up tasks
Produce clear and concise meeting minutes or summaries to communicate outcomes to participants and stakeholders
Create written communication products, messaging collateral, and supporting documentation
Manage review and approval processes of the communication documents for a variety of stakeholder audiences
Draft organization-wide documents to various stakeholder audiences within a customer-service oriented, fast-paced environment
Coordinate with stakeholders to identify content material needed to develop the communication documents
Ensure all products are high quality, error free and adhere to agency policies and standards for use on approved communication platforms e.g., emails, SharePoint, intranet sites
Participate in meetings held by the client relating to internal communications
Utilize communications subject matter expertise and writing skills to produce high level content
Support talking points, briefing memos, and press release development for client executives
Provide project management expertise over communication initiatives
What You Will Need :
US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Business or a related field
Ability to support and contribute to a high performing team
Ability to think critically, strategically, and innovatively
Must be collaborative and inclusive of all backgrounds and opinions
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
What Would Be Nice To Have :
ONE (1) or more years of professional office experience
Experience with Section 508 compliance
Proven ability as a strong, detail-oriented writer and editor, with capability to deliver quality content for a variety of audiences comfortably and confidently
Experience implementing communications solutions
Direct experience or familiarity with FEMA, emergency management, or grants management
