DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop quality assurance processes and procedures relative to the design, qualification, manufacture, inspection, test, and acceptance of products to ensure products adhere to defined requirements and standards
Maintain training program for the Axiom organizations in the aspects of Quality and the Quality Management System (QMS)
Maintain Quality Management System (QMS) for compliance to AS 9100 and CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration)
Support Review Board process for non-conforming materials and products, as necessary
Support various working groups and panels specializing in anomaly/Nonconformance resolution ensuring the Corrective/Preventative Action Plan (CAP) implementation
Support internal audits, submit findings, recommend Corrective Action Requests (CARs), and ensure timely completion of audits
Conduct product and process assessments/audits for compliance that support continuous improvements
Support the organization in achieving and maintaining a CMMI level certification in software development
Develop quality reports/presentations and perform other Safety and Mission Assurance (S&MA) tasks as necessary
Maintain and improve quality processes and procedures
Implement and ensure adherence to the nonconformance process that ensures nonconformances are investigated, trends are tracked, and issues resolved
Review and analyze drawings/models, specifications, standards and conformance criteria for product adherence
Develop reports/status/presentations to S&MA and program leadership in alignment with our quality management system to support the objectives and goals
Perform other duties as assigned

This work involves the software development and support of core simulation infrastructure whereby the individual will:
Develop GUI tools
Develop high-fidelity simulation math models using the NASA’s Trick Simulation Environment and NASA’s GUNNS software package
Integrate software models for multiple real time simulation environments
Provide user support and guidance for simulation model development and integration
Debug, test, and verification work of simulation math models and integrated simulations
Be able to manage multiple priorities with little supervision
Possess strong software skills and across multiple languages
Be self-motivated, capable person with strong verbal and written communication skills
Possess a positive team-player attitude, be flexible and willing to take on new assignments and responsibilities as they arise

Develop interface software for Hardware-In-The-Loop test rig environments

Bonus Qualifications
Experience developing simulations with High Level Architecture (HLA), TrickHLA, or other distributed simulation methods.
Experience developing GUI applications.
Experience developing simulations using NASA’s General-Use Nodal Network Solver (GUNNS) or equivalent tools.
Experience developing simulations using NASA’s Trick Simulation Framework or equivalent tools.
Experience using NASA’s Core Flight Software (CFS) or equivalent frameworks.
Experience integrating Flight Software in real time simulation environments.
Experience developing interface software for Hardware-In-The-Loop (HIL) test rig environments.
Experience with Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) software development process.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical/computer, software engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or related disciplines required
Experience with C/C++ language and Python scripting
Experience with Object-Oriented-Programming (OOP)
Experience with Unix/Linux Operating System
Experience with developing spacecraft simulation models, math model development, and real time software applications
Requirements
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
