Position Summary:

The Enterprise Strategy Lead Director role will be focused on identifying, defining, and leading Strategic Initiatives for CVS Pharmacy and Consumer Wellness. This includes developing the long-term strategy to be approved by the CVS C-Suite, identifying net-new opportunities for growth and profitability, and partnering closely with senior leadership and business partners to drive decision-making and ensure execution of key strategic initiatives. To fulfill this scope, the role will engage teams across numerous business, clinical, finance, legal, and other teams to identify, refine, and validate opportunities. In order to lead teams through analysis, the individual should have strong executive presence skills and expertise across strategy development, synthesizing complex analysis such as market research, and financial impact analysis.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Managing cross-functional efforts to identify new white-space opportunities for further corporate investment

  • Leading strategy development with the leadership teams of identify new business opportunities and enhance the profitability of existing ventures

  • Supporting the stand-up of new strategic initiatives, entities and/or business units

  • Communicating strategies and opportunities to C-Suite audiences

  • Driving internal optimization efforts within the Pharmacy and Consumer Wellness Portfolio of companies

  • Leading ad-hoc, high-priority strategic efforts for the C-Suite team

  • Conducting market research and competitive intelligence, utilizing internal and external sources, to inform strategic recommendations

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with internal senior leadership teams and key stakeholders

    You will be working in a hybrid role (3 days a week onsite) in one of the CVS Health or Aetna offices in Hartford, CT; NYC; Wellesley, MA or Woonsocket, RI.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years leadership experience with technical/functional expertise in multiple areas as it relates to corporate healthcare strategy: management consulting, financial analysis, public policy, mergers and acquisitions

  • Prior healthcare industry consulting experience

  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills

  • Experience building and evaluating financial models and quickly developing executive-level presentations and support material to successfully implement strategy

  • Experience with mid-sized cross functional initiatives, with a high degree of complexity

  • Ability to identify, structure and solve business problems

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to interact with senior leadership and lead meetings/facilitate strategic workshops

  • Demonstrated experience developing analysis, presentations and support material to successfully implement strategy or change initiatives

  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Retail Pharmacy experience

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • MBA preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,500.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
